Privacy Policy

Needle in a Haystack is designed to work without an account. Most game data stays on your device.

Information stored on your device

The game stores your current run, settings, achievements, lifetime statistics, a random installation identifier, and purchase-entitlement information using browser storage such as IndexedDB and localStorage. This lets you continue a run after closing or refreshing the page.

Payments

If you buy Unlimited Runs, checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe may collect information such as your name, email address, billing details, and payment information. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive payment status and limited transaction information needed to unlock the purchase for your browser.

Hosting and technical data

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel may process technical request information such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, and server logs for security and operation of the service.

No advertising or behavioral tracking

The current version of the game does not contain third-party advertising, ad tracking, or a user-account database. We do not sell personal information.

Support messages

If you contact support, we may receive the email address and information you choose to include. We use that information to answer your request, troubleshoot issues, and handle payment or refund questions.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete local game data from the in-game Settings menu or by clearing site data in your browser. Payment records may be retained by Stripe and by us as reasonably necessary for payment support, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations.

Children

If you are not legally able to agree to these terms in your location, use the game only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Changes

We may update this policy when the game or its services change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
